Privacy policy
This policy explains what information the Android app "US Citizenship Prep with AI" (the "App") uses, who processes it, and the choices you have. The App is published by RK Technology, a proprietorship based in Pune, Maharashtra, India ("we", "us").
Summary
- You do not need an account. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your study progress and settings stay on your phone. If you use the AI coach (Citizenship Pro), a summary of your practice results is sent to create the answer and is not stored.
- Free users see ads from Google AdMob, which collects device data such as the advertising ID to show and measure ads.
- Payments are handled by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details.
Information stored on your device
The App stores your answers, mastery progress, mock test results, settings (for example your chosen test version, state, interview date and theme) and any answers you type for state-specific questions. This information is kept only on your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
Questions and answers are read aloud using your device's own text-to-speech feature; the audio is generated on your device.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
If you use the App without a Citizenship Pro subscription, it shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, device and app information, approximate location derived from your IP address, and your interactions with ads. Google's use of this information is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and in the Google Privacy Policy.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your Android settings (usually Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads). Citizenship Pro subscribers do not see ads.
Purchases (Google Play)
Citizenship Pro is sold through Google Play, and Google processes your payment under the Google Payments privacy notice. The App only receives the status of your subscription from Google Play, so it can unlock Pro features. We do not receive your payment details.
AI coach (Citizenship Pro)
When a Citizenship Pro subscriber asks the AI coach for a study plan, the App sends: the test version, whether 65/20 mode is on, the number of days until your interview date if you set one, how many times you answered each question right and wrong, and your last five mock test scores. For "Explain with AI" it sends only the question number. It does not send your name, email, state, or anything you typed.
This goes to our server on Google Firebase (Cloud Functions), which asks Anthropic's Claude AI to write the answer and returns it to the App. We do not store the request or the answer. Anthropic processes it as our service provider; see the Anthropic privacy policy.
To keep AI use fair, the App signs in to Firebase with a random anonymous ID that is not linked to your name, email or Google account. Our server stores only how much of that ID's daily AI allowance was used, and the date. Clearing the App's data or uninstalling it creates a new ID. Firebase App Check, which uses Google Play Integrity, confirms that requests come from the genuine App. Google processes this under the Firebase privacy and security terms.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not collect your contacts, photos, files, precise location or microphone input.
- We do not ask for or store information about your immigration status or application.
Children
The App is intended for adults preparing for the U.S. naturalization test and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
Information the App exchanges with Google for ads and purchases travels over encrypted connections. Information stored on your device is protected by your device's own security.
Your choices and rights
Because we do not hold personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side. You control your on-device data by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it, and your advertising ID through your device settings. For information Google holds, use the tools in your Google account. If you have a question or request, contact us below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App changes. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be announced in the App.
